This week’s Xbox LIVE Deal of the Week gives Xbox LIVE Gold Members the chance to buy the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Variety Map Pack for half the usual price.

Yep, that’s right - for one week, Gold Members only have to pay 400 MS Points (as opposed to the normal 800) for the CoD4 Variety Map Pack, which contains “four new multiplayer maps featuring a variety of locations,” such as the following:

• “Creek,” a wide-open village ravaged by combat where concealment is the difference between life and death;
• “Broadcast,” fight throughout an enemy communications building with confined corridors and wide-open parking lots;
• “Chinatown,” a foggy downtown district, lit only by a full moon and the neon glow of the city;
• and “Killhouse,” featuring a desolate training warehouse filled with a variety of building mock-ups and soft and hard cover points.

If you don’t have the map pack by now, this is probably your last chance to get some good Call of Duty 4 multiplayer matches in before the release of the big Kahuna next week, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
