In an effort to ensure that all things stay equal on the multiplayer side of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the online leaderboards will be reset before the release of the game over the week of November 10th, clearing the stats of those already playing the game so that there’s no unfair advantage on launch.
Infinity Ward Creative Strategist Robert Bowling tweeted to this effect, saying: “It definitely looks like a full leaderboard / level reset is in order just before the release date to ensure no unfair advantages.”
While this is more of a foregone conclusion, considering how competitive Modern Warfare 2 online matches are going to be, it’s nice that Infinity Ward are at least assuring us that such an action will be taken.
