If you buy Assassin’s Creed II for the Xbox 360 or PS3 you will be able to use the game’s interface to connect to the beta for Ubisoft’s Uplay.
What’s Uplay? It’s Ubisoft’s “online destination where gamers are at the center of a connected gaming universe that will be developed around four primary services: Uplay Win, Uplay Help, Uplay Share and Uplay Shop.”
The Uplay Beta will only launch with Uplay Win, which will enable players to collect units based on their actions in the games which can then be exchanged for exclusive in-game content. The units can be gathered cross platform, from the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
So back to Assassin’s Creed II, Uplay Win will offer a real Altaïr costume and access to the Auditore Family Crypt as well as other exclusive in-game content. Players will be able to save their units to use in future games, such as Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction.
Head over to www.uplay.com for more information about the new service or cast your eyes below for an Assassin’s Creed 2 Uplay walkthrough.
