The seventh annual Spike TV Video Game Awards (VGAs) is set to take place on December 12th this year, and will recognise the best games, top development talent and the most anticipated upcoming titles across all platforms during the two-hour televised event.

Spike TV’s VGAs will also premiere never-before-seen titles and footage from hotly anticipated games, and announce new information regarding games from publishers and developers such as 2K, Activision, Disney Interactive Studios, Electronic Arts, LucasArts Entertainment, Microsoft Game Studios, THQ, Ubisoft, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and more.

Nominees for the awards evening have been announced, and game fans can begin voting now for their favourites from the list at VGA.Spike.Com and GameTrailers.com.

The nominations list is dominated by Naughty Dog and Uncharted 2, as well as Rocksteady and Batman: Arkham Asylum, while Infinity Ward and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and Valve and Left 4 Dead 2 also make an imposing presence.
