It’s being reported by Electronic Theatre that the PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has had its release date delayed by over two weeks, compared to the set release date for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game on November 10th.
After Activision Blizzard revealed its updated set of release dates for the next two months, the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 was curiously not listed alongside the two console versions of the game, only appearing all the way down the list next to a date of November 24th.
This has lead to wild speculation that the PC version of the title is being held back due to piracy concerns, enabling Activision Blizzard to effectively reduce the impact of illicitly distributed PC versions of Modern Warfare 2 on sales of the console version.
We’ll keep an eye out and see if this new release date of November 24th for the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 is correct or not.
