Not much changes on the Japanese hardware chart this week. The DSi still leads the race with 42 199 units, followed by the PSP with 32 865 units. The DSi drops quite substantially from last week’s 49 145 tally while sales of the PSP only decrease marginally by 643 units.
The past few weeks have seen sales for the PS3 and Wii neck in neck in Japan, however, this week the PS3 surges ahead with 29 977 units while the Wii stews with 25 917. Both consoles drop from last week’s totals, the PS3 down only roughly 250 units but the Wii falls by over 4 000 units.
The DS Lite is next with 6 550 units and the Xbox 360 with 4 470, both up from last week’s 3 662 and 2 590 respectively. The PS2 rounds off the chart with a respectable 1 951 units.
