Media Create Japanese Software Sales for week ending 25/10: Forza 3 and FIFA 10 debut in Top 10

Pokemon Heart Gold/Soul Silver retains the number 1 spot on the Japanese Software Chart for the week ending the 25th of October. The latest Media Create figures show that the Top 4 results are the same as last week.

The popular Pokemon DS title sold 118 000 copies to hang on to the top spot while Wii Fit Plus keeps up the pace in second place with 88 000 copies, Tomodachi Collection sticks it out in third with 52 000 copies and Inazuma Eleven 2: Threat of the Invaders is in fourth with 49 000 copies.

Rune Factory for the DS debuts at number 5 with 41 000 copies while Microsoft’s Forza Motorsport 3 is new at number 6 with 32 000 copies, giving the Xbox 360 a rare appearance in the Top 10. FIFA 10 for the PS3 debuts at number 7 with 20 000 copies while the Xbox 360 version only manages to debut at number 23.

Wii Sports Resort drops one place to number 8 with 19 000 copies while Uncharted 2: Among Thieves manages to hold on to a spot in the Top 10 in its second week on the chart, dropping four places to number 9 with 18 000 copies. Shin Sangoku Musou 5 Special for the PSP is this week’s fourth new entry in the Top 10, debuting at number 10 with 18 000 copies.
