Valve recently announced that a demo for their cooperative first-person zombie shooter, Left 4 Dead 2, will be heading out for public consumption in less than two weeks time, although using a tiered release schedule.
The demo will feature a section from a campaign in the game called “The Parish,” which is set in the New Orleans French Quarter, allowing up to 4 players (over local or internet connections on Xbox 360 and PC, two-player splitscreen available on Xbox 360) to experience all of the new boss infected zombies, as well as the new melee weapons.
Those of you who pre-order Left 4 Dead 2 will gain access to the demo on October 27th, while members of Xbox LIVE’s illustrious Gold club, as well as all PC gamers, will be able to download the demo on November 3rd.
Those bottom-feeding Xbox LIVE Silver members will only be able to get their hands on the Left 4 Dead 2 demo on November 10th, which is seven whole days before the full game releases at retail and over Steam.
