The latest Media Create figures have been released, showing that Wii Fit Plus has dropped to number 2 in its second week on the Japanese Software Chart. The sequel to the popular fitness game debuted at the top of the chart last week with 340 000 copies but this week its sales drop to 152 000 copies. Still, 492 000 copies in two weeks is hardly a shabby total!
Pokemon Heart Gold/Soul Silver climbs back to the number one spot, selling 189 000 copies and now boasting life-to-date sales of 2.4 million. Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey for the DS is this week’s only Top 10 new entry, debuting at number 3 with 97 000 copies.
Inazuma Eleven 2: Threat of the Invaders drops to number 4 with 95 000 copies after debuting at number 2 last week, while Tomodachi Collection continues to perform well, finishing fifth with 63 000 copies.
Gran Turismo Portable, now in its second week on the chart, drops two places to number 6 with 40 000 copies and Wii Sports Resort climbs one place to number 7 with 24 000 copies. Macross Ultimate Frontier for the PSP drops to eighth with 19 000 copies after debuting at number 5 last week. Love Plus re-enters the Top 10 at number 9 with 19 000 copies, as does Dragon Quest IX, climbing two places to tenth with 16 000 copies and falling just short of the 4 million life-to-date sales mark (3.983 million)
Three PS3 titles drop out of the Top 10 this week, Tales of Vesperia (number 12), Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (number 13) and Shin Sangoku Musou: Multi Raid Special (number 14). A couple of new interesting entries in the Top 30 this week include Blue Dragon for the DS at number 17, White Knight Chronicles for the PS3 at number 19, Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga for the Wii at number 22 and Phantasy Star Portable (Best) for the PSP at number 29.
