Have you had a chance to take a look at the excellent, zany looking puzzle game, Critter Crunch?
Created by Canadian development outfit, Capybara Games, Critter Crunch features the culinary exploits of Biggs, a large furry creature (that wouldn’t be out of place in a Miyazaki animated film) that, by the look and description of it, grabs Critters hanging on vines above with his long sticky tongue and, I quote, “force-feeds them into each other until they explode, dropping their tasty jewel innards for Biggs to eat.”
Wow.
This is called a ‘Food Chain,’ and you’ll be required to use this… ‘technique,’ to build larger and more explosive chains, collecting more and more juicy, jewel-encrusted innards.
Critter Crunch released last week on the US PlayStation Store, and is expected to be available on the European PlayStation Store “as soon as it’s translated into all of your beautiful non-English languages that make everything we’ve written sound so much more appetizing.”
Hurray!
Check out the rest of the amazingly colourful screenshots from Critter Crunch below, as well as watch the amazing, beautifully smooth launch trailer for the puzzler below, where you can spy some of the extra game modes such as the Multiplayer Versus Mode:
