In a humorous, extreme tongue-in-cheek video featuring Double Fine Productions president Tim Schafer and actor Jack Black (in muscle outfit), the two stars of Brütal Legend (Schafer’s name is on the box, Black’s voice is in the box) discuss concerns over sales competition that their heavy metal-inspired action adventure title may come up against during this holiday season, with Assassin’s Creed II, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Uncharted 2 all releasing in quick succession.
Jack Black is the ‘voice of reason,’ however, and is quick to point out that Brütal Legend’s features trump those of the three mentioned games, in all ways imaginable.

I think Jack Black is hilarious, don't get me wrong. I played this demo, and the game sucks. It has no real value to speak of that will carry it past the Christmas season. The game is boring, even with some variety of mission types, really all you do is fight, and that's all the game is meant to do. I'm sorry Jack, but Assassin's Creed II is about far more than "dressing up like a bird and climbing ll over the city!" AC2 will shut you down and shut you up.
To be fair, the pair were being overly reductive for comic effect.
Personally, Brütal Legend is my most anticipated game this year (well, right next to Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare 2, anyway).
The sales performance of Brütal Legend over the next few months is going to be extremely interesting...
I really enjoyed the Demo. I thought it was entertaining and I look forward to renting the game.
