FIFA 10 has managed to hold on to the number 1 spot on Chart Track’s UK Software Sales Chart despite a 64% decrease in sales. Last week EA’s latest football game became the biggest number 1 launch in the UK since GTA IV and earned itself the title of biggest launch of a FIFA football game ever as well.
Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising debuts at number 2, becoming Codemasters biggest selling launch title, while Need for Speed: SHIFT climbs up one place to number 3. Professor Layton and Pandora’s Box moves down two spots to number 4 and Wii Sports Resort is a non-mover at number 5.
Halo 3: ODST slips three places to number 6 while Gran Turismo for the PSP climbs five places to number 7. Wii Fit re-enters the Top 10 at number 8 and Mario Kart Wii gives Nintendo its fourth entry in the Top 10, keeping up the pace at number 9. Guitar Hero 5 moves down four places to finish tenth.
Scribblenauts, the popular puzzler developed by 5th Cell and published by Warner Bros, fails to crack the Top 10 and only debuts at number 12. Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Republic Heroes is new at number 15 and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, the first title in the series to be released on the DS, is at number 17.
