A quick picture of a billboard taken by a NeoGAF user may just have revealed the first details of Resistance 3.
The billboard was spotted in Los Angeles over the weekend. The ‘Resistance 3’ advert (which features both the PS3 and Insomniac Games logos) quite clearly shows the Statue of Liberty, perhaps suggesting that Resistance 3 will see the Chimera invading New York.
However, the billboard stands next to an extraordinary petrol station, one that has been bombed and advertises above average fuel prices. Apparently this area of LA is commonly used for film-sets and the movie in question in Battle: Los Angeles, currently in production by Sony Pictures for release in February 2011.
So it appears as if Resistance 3 will be set in New York and released in 2011. Neither Sony nor Insomniac Games have commented yet.
