UK Charts: Chart Track software sales for the week ending 05/0

For the second time now, Fifa 09 has managed to knock Call of Duty: World at War from the No. 1 spot on the UK All Formats software charts, despite a 41% drop in sales for Fifa.

Call of Duty: World at War, at No. 2, sees a sales drop of its own (by 50%), but retains its lead over Need for Speed: Undercover at No. 3 by 5000 copies. Guitar Hero: World Tour moves up from No. 7 to No. 4 this week, while Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games makes a surge up the chart, moving from No. 9 last week to No. 5.

Wii Play finds a home at No. 6, down slightly from No. 5 last week, while Far Cry 2 charts at No. 7, making a bit of a comeback from No. 11 last week. On the back of a 60% drop in sales, Mario Kart Wii slumps to No. 8 from No. 4 last week, as Quantum of Solace makes way for Mario Kart by moving down to No. 9 from No. 8. Sonic Unleashed is a non-mover at No. 10, succinctly rounding out the UK Top Ten All Formats software chart.

Other interesting movement on the chart this week includes Tomb Raider: Underworld dropping from No. 6 last week to No. 14 this week, Mirror’s Edge showing some fight by placing at No. 16 from No. 21 last week, Wii Fit storming up the chart from No. 33 last week to No. 20, Wall-E making a similar charge and moving from No. 30 to No. 22, while LittleBigPlanet seems to have swapped places with Wall-E, now at No. 30 from No. 22 last week.
