Some really exciting news for PSP owners is that Sony has announced that Resistance Retribution will be released on the PSP across North America on the 17th of March.
Resistance Retribution is a third person adventure designed specifically for the PSP. The game features a new story, levels, weapons and enemies as well as a proprietary targeting system that takes full advantage of the PSP control system.
Set in the weeks after Resistance: Fall of Man, the story is said to bridge the gap between Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2 as it follows the story of former British Marin James Grayson. The game includes intense eight player multiplayer game play with five modes including Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Containment and Assimilation.
According to a post on SCEA’s PlayStation blog, Resistance Retribution “packs a number of never-before-seen features that allow you to bring the game home, playing on your home TV and with a DualShock 3 controller.”
Head over to SCEA’s PlayStation blog for an interesting video where John Garvin from SCEA’s Bend Studios shared details on Resistance Retribution/Resistance 2 interoperability. (Hint: you can actually play RR on your PS3 with rumble pack support!)You can also check out the awesome new trailer for the game in the same video.
