In a post on the US PlayStation Blog, Director of Hardware Marketing at Sony, John Koller, has revealed that, starting tomorrow (April 1st), the PlayStation 2 will become available for less than $100, at an MSRP of $99.99. Koller continued:

New Charcoal Black PS2“With this new price, we intend to introduce a new generation of consumers – some of whom weren’t even alive when the system was first introduced in 2000 – to the immense entertainment value offered by PlayStation 2.

“With the original PlayStation and now PlayStation 2, we’ve proven that consumers can rely on our platforms for their gaming and entertainment needs for at least a decade.

Watch as Senior Producer on X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Jeff Pffenbarger, speaks about the early beginnings of the game, their goals for the combat system and what elements of Wolverine, the character, were implemented to ensure the experience would be as true to the source material as possible:

X-Men Origins: Wolverine releases on many, many platforms at the beginning of May.

A large batch of new screenshots (fifteen!) have been released for the upcoming World War II and paranormal experiments inspired first-person shooter, Wolfenstein, in development at Raven under the watchful eye of id Software.

Wolfenstein Screenshot 1

Wolfenstein’s main gameplay concept is something called The Veil, an alternate universe, of sorts, which allows those who can harness its power to see their current world in a different way.

What this means for the game is that, once you enter, or activate, The Veil, your current environment will have changed and enemies will also be seen differently, enabling you to pinpoint their weaknesses, discover hidden areas in the game or see things that simply aren’t there in the ‘real world.’

It also means that you get a bunch of cool powers, such as slowing down time to avoid bullet fire and run circles around your enemies. It’s been done before, but that’s just one of the abilities you’ll have access to while playing the game.

Check out the rest of the screenshots for Wolfenstein, releasing on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC later this year, below:

Wanted: Weapons of Fate Box ArtMTV Multiplayer have posted another ‘top things to-do’ list, this time for the recently released (in the US) action-adventure bullet-curving game, Wanted: Weapons of Fate, courtesy of Warner Bros. Interactive’s Nick Torchia, the producer on the game.

What are some of his tips for getting the most out of Wanted: Weapons of Fate? Here’s a taste:

Don’t Get Blood on your Clothes:

When the fire fight gets too intense, grab an enemy by simply running up from behind and pressing the action button. You will then use the enemy as a human shield so they take most of the damage as you drag them into the battle.

“Be careful though, eventually the bodies will explode leaving you vulnerable to attacks. If you want to end their life quickly, press the action button to slice their throat.”

Exploding bodies? Excellent! Read the rest of Torchia’s tips for Wanted: Weapons of Fate (releasing in Europe on April 3rd) below:
