Have you seen the latest Mega Man game, Mega Man 9? While other games prefer to go all ‘next-gen’ on your eyeballs, the team at Capcom responsible for the latest entry to the epic Mega Man series decided to take a decidedly ‘retro’ approach to their new project - and it shows.
Aiming to recreate the classic visuals of the NES series (complete with simulations of sprite flickering), Mega Man 9 looks every bit as good as an 8-bit golden oldie, with the same rock-hard difficulty the series is famous for. Have a look at the the debut trailer here to see for yourself.
This homage to a forgotten era is coming soon to the PlayStation Network, for the well-worth-it price of $9.99. While you’re waiting, have a look at the awesome press packages outlets around the world will be receiving to celebrate the game’s release. Can you say “collector’s item”? Well, can you?
