As you’ll see for yourself if you happen navigate your way over to the PlayStation Store today, there are a couple big game demos available for your downloading pleasure.
The first needs no introduction - a demo of Soul Calibur IV is up and waiting for you hit download - if you haven’t already got the game, of course. If that’s the case, do yourself a favour and read El33tonline’s massive review of the game (hint: we liked it!). The next demo is of a third-person action game from LucasArts called Fracture. While you may have read about it before, with terms such as ‘real-time terrain deformation’ being bandied about, now you’ll be able to experience that unique gameplay hook with your appendages. It seemed to have impressed at the recent Megarom Activision evening, so go have a look.
Also on the European PlayStation Network is a demo of NBA Live ’09, so if you’re into your basketball simulations, hit that up. On the US PSN, however, you’ll get the opportunity to go runnin’, gunnin’ and explodin’ with the Mercenaries 2 demo, the latest entry to the open-world, free-roaming genre from Pandemic. Also be sure to check out all of the new videos, wallpapers and themes, as well as a host of new Rock Band songs, all available at the PlayStation Store. Something for everyone!
