The third instalment in this popular DS series, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations, has finally been given a release date for the UK, almost a full year after its release in the US.
October 3rd is when the UK gets to play out the courtroom battles that only a Phoenix Wright game can provide. The official reasons behind the massive delay aren’t known, but rumours point to a suicide scene in the game that the ratings board didn’t quite appreciate. As a result, the fourth game in the series, Apollo Justice, has already seen a release, beating the debut of it successor by a few months.
Trials and Tribulations includes characters Maya Fey, Wright’s aid and possessor of psychic powers, Mia Fey, an ace attorney herself who taught Wright everything he knows about the courtroom, Godot, a mysterious, hard-boiled prosecutor and obviously Phoenix Wright himself. Players take on the roles of both Mia, reliving her rookie days in the past, and Phoenix Wright, dealing with his court cases in the present.
