Chart Track have released the latest UK game sales charts for the week ending August 2nd and, surprise surprise, Soul Calibur IV, the latest in the Soul Calibur fighting series from Namco, has hit the number one spot in its first week.
It seems it’s proving slightly more popular with the 360 crowd, as 56% of sales were attributed to that console. It’s also apparently the first time since Soul Calibur 2, in 2003, that the series has hit the number one spot.
It looks like Lego Indiana Jones, however, fell from 5th place to 10th place, while Big Beach Sports swapped places with it, moving up from 10 to 5th this week. Otherwise, the chart remains mostly unchanged with some downwards movement to make way for Soul Calibur. The top-ten chart is as follows:
- 01 - Soul Calibur IV
- 02 - Wii Fit
- 03 - Mario Kart Wii
- 04 - Wall-E
- 05 - Big Beach Sports
- 06 - Guitar Hero: On Tour
- 07 - Wii Play
- 08 - Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games
- 09 - Brain Training
- 10 - Lego Indiana Jones
