Japanese Sales Data: Media Create hardware sales for 21/7 – 27/7

According to the latest Media Create figures, the PSP is the best selling console in Japan for the week ending the 27th of July. The PSP sold 67 452 units, down from last week’s number of 74 024 which were boosted by the release of a new Metallic Blue PSP.

The DS came second with 56 968 units, up roughly 2 500 units from last week, followed by the Wii with 41 024 units, also up from last week’s 40 803 units. The PS3 sold 10 692 units while the PS2 moved 9 291, both experiencing a sales drop this week.

The Xbox 360 sold 4 941 units, up from 4 208 units last week.
