Japanese Sales Data: Media Create hardware sales for 23/6 – 29/6
The latest Media Create figures show that the PSP topped the Japanese software chart, selling 58 861 units for the week ending the 29th of June.
The Nintendo DS came in second with 48 884 units followed by the Wii with 48 480 units. Although the gap between the two Nintendo systems is marginal, it has been a while since Nintendo’s handheld has beaten the Wii.
The PS3 is still experiencing a post Metal Gear Solid 4 drop in sales, moving 17 973 units in comparison the PS2 with 7 673. The Xbox 360 comes in last again with 5 104 units, although it does see a slight increase in sales this week.
