Follow Afro, the Samurai, as he tracks down his father’s murderer to become the No.1 samurai and attains the No.1 Headband to prove it.
Afro Samurai, based on a manga series, became an anime TV series under co-production by Samuel L. Jackson. For the game, Jackson’s voice will once again be lent to Afro, as well as Ninja Ninja, another character in the series. The game will follow the story of the TV series, while adding new content for fans.
Afro Samurai could be called a music-rhythm action game for its unique style of combat. Enemies are affected by the beat of the music, as Afro slices them up and is able to interact with ‘everything and anything in the environment.’
The game will release on Xbox 360 and PS3 later this year. While the screenshots look great, they’re relying on bit too much on that bloom filter…
