Cinnabar Red PS2 - JapanNot content with one new colour entering the market, Sony of Japan also announced a new Cinnabar Red PS2 will become available in Japan on the 3rd of July. The new colour will be available as a limited offer and will retail at 16 000 yen.

Last but not least, a new PlayStation Eye Camera Pack will become available for the PS3 in Japan on the 24th of July. The pack will retail at 5 000 yen and consists of a PlayStation Eye Camera and Memoushon, a software title containing six compatible casual games called Make, Look, Solve, Play, Fly, and Move.

PlayStation Eye Camera Pack - JapanMake enables players to edit images and sounds recorded through the camera while Look is an interactive virtual aquarium. Solve is a puzzle game where players must change the labyrinth’s floor surface by moving their hands and rolling the ball to the goal while Play is a puzzle action game where players must save sticky creatures by moving their hands. Fly is an interactive art experience where players travel over ancient Japanese paintings by sending birds over the painting using hands and body movement whereas Move creates visual effects from body movement and sound.

Comments:

My first impression is that the bright, vivid colors give it a feeling of "cheapness", quite unlike the classy feel of either classic black or white. Mind you, what we find vaguely distracting, to say the least, can be quite attractive to the Japanese (who seem to live on a culture of "kawaii", or extreme cuteness), so who knows, it may sell quite well over there!

I agree with you about the Metallic Blue PSP but I must say I think the Cinnabar Red PS2 looks hot. I would definitely like to get my hands on one of those.
