WiiWare launch line-up for Europe detailed - a closer look at the games

Nintendo’s downloadable games service WiiWare will launch across Europe on the 20th of May.

Here is a brief look at the launch titles (game overviews per Nintendo). Nintendo of Europe has not yet dated the WiiWare games. Since the prices are not likely to be different, Nintendo of America’s prices have been included for now.

Please note that all of these games may not be available on the 20th since Nintendo’s press release read “from 20th May onwards a whole host of brand new creative games from developers across Europe and the rest of the globe become available.”

i got lost winds yesterday (which is an amazingly pleasant game to play) but it took up around 280blocks of space. I now have just 300blocks left, i started with neary 2000.

I would like to go into a bit more detail.

i really would love a solution to the space problem as i am not always online to download deleted games i want to play again. Also it would rock to be able to have it all there at once.

i have found that the 512meg of flash mem to be very tardis like though. What i mean is i have managed to fit quite a lot on it so far and I have not deleted anything yet, but will soon have to.

This is what i have on my Wii.

I have 11 virtual console games, they are: pacman, wsc, gunstar heroes, mario2 lost levels, mario3, mario world, sonic2, streetfighter new challengers, fzero, fzeroX, bomberman93.

The channels i have on my wii are:

mii channel weather channel news channel internet channel everybody votes channel check mii out channel shop channel mario kart channel wii fit channel metroid prime preview channel photo channel and the disc channel(cannot delete)

wiiware games i have on my wii are:

Lost Winds

I have over 130 photos on the photo channel (not including my sd card which has around 600 photos on it and 8 movies)

I have also been through my save files and i have owned, played or borrowed 37 games in total. i dont want to delete saves as i will want to play the games again someday.

in my mii channel i have 96 mii's in one part and in the other i have 1,562 mii's. (trust me thats a lot of mii's)

i also have 84 friends in my address book (most of whom i dont know as we swapped codes online)

on top of all that the wii has saved all information about how long i played each game on what day and who i sent messages./emails to and also saves all messages sent to me on certain days (for me about 3 per day since launch day 1)

after writing that lot down i'm starting to think maybe nintendo have a point. i do have plenty of space, iv just been greedy. but then whats wrong with that. if the wii was designed to hold all that info then i rightly demand bigger storage solutions to use this product to its fullest potential.

All in all, if they let me use my sd card (a 2gig kingston) to save directly to and load directly from then i and every other wii owner would be so so happy. Its already there, i just cant use it properly yet. WHY?

apart from that i love my wii. but if nintendo want me and others to buy more VC games and Wiiware games we will need more room.

please nintendo, dont just sit there... do something about it.
