Xbox Live Arcade is already home to quite a few games which are based on popular boardgames, including Catan, Carcassone and Wits & Wagers.
Now boardgame fans can look forward to another popular boardgame title, Ticket to Ride, hitting the Arcade. The virtual version of Alan R. Moon’s boardgame Ticket to Ride will sees players competing to build railways across the country.
According to Microsoft’s Gamerscore blog, Ticket to Ride is scheduled to arrive on XBLA this summer. The game will be developed by Playful Entertainment and will challenge players to “plan cross-country rail routes across North America and visit all the city stops in-between, racking up points as they race to reach the most destinations.”
Up to five people will be able to play on Xbox Live while four people can compete on the same console. The game will also support use of the Xbox Live Vision Cam.
