The PSP is once again the best-selling console in Japan. The latest figures from Media Create show that the PSP sold 85 421 units for the week ending the 20th of April, only slightly down from last week’s 85 721 units.
The Nintendo DS took second place on the hardware chart with 44 551 units followed by the Wii with 44 241 units. The two consoles both experienced a decrease in sales from last week, selling 47 158 and 46 296 respectively.
The PS3 continues its downward sales trend, selling 7 438 units this week in comparison to last week’s 8 232 units. The PS2 sold 6 545 units (6 834 units last week) while the Xbox 360 almost dropped below the 1 000 sales mark with 1 076 units (1 147 units last week).
