Infinity Ward has announced that the Call of Duty 4 Variety Map Pack will be available worldwide for the PS3 this Thursday.

This means that both Europe and the US will be able to download the COD4 Variety Map Pack for the PS3 from the PlayStation Network on the 24th of April. It will cost $9.99. The map pack was previously slated to be released across North America on the 24th of April but Europe was penned in for a 1st of May release.

The new map pack adds four new multiplayer maps, namely Creek, Broadcast, Killhouse and Chinatown.

Robert Bowling commented “I’m happy to say we’ve been pushing this past week and with the help of Sony Europe, are happy to announce that the Variety Map Pack on PS3 will be coming out at the SAME TIME, worldwide on April 24th for $9.99!”

Bowling also announced that since the map packs will be available across the US and Europe at the same time the Double XP/Play with the Devs will be on the same day.

“Enjoy Double XP all weekend for both continents from 12:01 AM GMT on Friday, April 25 to 11:59 PM PDT on Sunday, April 27. We are also making Friday, April, 25 a “Play with the Devs” day. The Infinity Ward team will be playing online on Friday, April 25 from 11AM to 2PM PDT and from 5 PM to 8 PM PDT.”
