There have been quite a few complaints following the launch of the redesigned PlayStation Store yesterday. On top of the list is the time it is taking for the thumbnail icons to load.
Community team leader Lestrade has attributed the slow speeds to demand. In a post on the official PS3 forum, Lestrade commented “We are aware that many of you have experienced delays whilst the PS Store’s thumbnail icons are being downloaded.”
“This is a temporary consequence of a new system implementation and high global traffic levels, and will be resolved within the next few days.”
If you have not yet done so, download system software update 2.30 to gain access to the revamped PlayStation Store. But be prepared for quite a wait, mine took a good couple of hours last night.
