Miyamoto currently third on Time 100
Shigeru Miyamoto is currently third on Time magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people this year.
Miyamoto has received 483 709 votes so far, placing him ahead of Jon Stewart and Al Gore but just behind Rain and current number 1 Steven Colbert. His average rating is 64 percent.
Dubbed as the ‘father of modern video gaming,’ Miyamoto’s pros include creating Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda and the more recent Super Mario Galaxy. Time raises the question of whether he will be able to use his Wii Fit game to make ‘the obese, video game-playing kids out there’ aware of their bodies.
Head over to the Time website to see how the voting is going head or to vote for Shigeru Miyamoto.
