Capcom has confirmed the main cast for Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, its live action Street fighter movie, which will hit big screens around the world in 2009.
The movie from Hyde Park Films and 20th Century Fox stars Kristen Kreuk as Chun-Li (of Smallville fame) as well as Michael Clark Duncan (The Green Mile, Sin City) as Balrog, Neal McDonough (Band of Brothers, Minority Report) as M. Bison and the Black Eyed Peas’ Taboo as Vega as well as Chris Klein (American Pie) as Charlie Nash.
Capcom is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Street Fighter this year. Along with the movie, other celebrations include Street Fighter IV hitting Japanese arcades this summer.
Street Fighter was first released in 1987 with the follow up, Street Fighter II, breaking records when it was released in 1991 by selling more than 25 million units on home systems and being available in 500 000 arcade cabinets.
