Discs of Tron and Commanders: Attack of the Genos will be available on Xbox Live Arcade this week. Discs of Tron will be available for 400 Microsoft Points while Commanders will cost you 800 Microsoft Points.
Commanders: Attack of the Genos
Developed by SouthEnd Interactive and published by Sierra Online, Commanders: Attack of the Genos is a turn-based strategy game. After the Genos army attack Earth, players must defend with their Commander unit using Missile Launchers, Bombers and Infantry. Along with your unit, get ready to use fifteen specialized attack units to conquer the Genos.
The game features a single player campaign with fifteen different missions that will see you crossing three different landscapes. Players of all skill levels can enjoy this game because it features two difficulty levels. In addition players can participate in three multiplayer modes, Team Play, Skirmish with a friend on the same 360 and Versus mode where up to four players can join. The game also features two different endings.
Discs of Tron
Developed by Backbone Entertainment and published by Disney, Discs of Tron is recreated from the arcade classic which was based on the computer animated Disney film. It features enhanced graphics, game play and sound as well as two player multiplayer modes. The multiplayer modes include classic versus, (highest score wins), speed versus (player to reach determined score wins), co-op (two players scores combined for leader board results) and deadly disc versus (players play simulatenously and power-ups help one player or hinder another). The game also includes both classic and enhanced modes.
Enter the arena as Tron to fight against Sark in Discs of Tron. Tron is armed with a disc weapon and limited deflector shield, and must knock Sark off his platform and survive 12 increasingly difficult levels of multiple attacks from Sark’s chaser and super chaser to triumph.
“Discs of Tron is considered an arcade classic as it mesmerized fans who wanted an entertaining and challenging experience derived from the innovative film,” said Craig Relyea, senior vice president of global marketing, Disney Interactive Studios.
“The game’s release on Xbox LIVE Arcade enables multiple generations to play the addictive game in both its original form from 25 years ago and an enhanced mode with upgraded graphics and sound.”
