EA has announced that its’ first slate of Hasbro games are in development for various consoles.
Littlest Pet Shop and Nerf “N-Strike” are currently in production at EA’s Salt Lake Studio and will be the first Nintendo DS and Wii titles that will be available this autumn. Other titles are also in development for multiple platforms including Monopoly and Scrabble. EA also plans to announce more titles later in the year including Pogo.com online games and mobile titles.
Littlest Pet Shop sees players taking over the reins of a pet shop. The DS version of the game will come with three different versions, each with unique pets. The game sees players exploring three exclusive environments, unlocking new items such as pets and accessories.
NERF “N-Strike” features a new custom NERF blaster that allows players to fire actual NERF darts with the controller outside the game. The game features single and multiplayer modes so players can blast away alone or challenge friends.
Littlest Pet Shop and NERF “N-Strike” for the Nintendo DS and Wii will be unveiled at Hasbro’s Toy Fair in New York from the 17th to the 19th of February.
“EA and Hasbro want to give families new ways to enjoy games; we want give them a new way to come together, connect, spend time and have fun around the TV or online,” said Chip Lange, vice president and general manager of EA’s Hasbro Studio. “Bringing the spirit of these games to life as video games has allowed us to create really unique and creative experiences for families and friends of all ages to enjoy together at home or online.”
