It will surely come as no surprise that Activision Blizzard have announced new entries to their best-selling franchises, including new Call of Duty, Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero games, coming next year.
The revelations were announced during an event conducted by Massive Inc., an in-game advertising firm owned by Microsoft, a company whom Activision will be using to provide in-game ads in their future titles.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was announced, as well as Guitar Hero 5 (working title), while a new Tony Hawk game is set for October next year, with indications that the game will utilise some sort of motion-control for in-game movement, as Activision hinted, “You’re not going to be playing this game with a controller in your hands.”
Lastly, Bizarre Creations (Project Gotham Racing series) is said to be working on a new James Bond game, this time with a heavy emphasis on driving, instead of previous entries who’s main focus has been shooting action of some kind, while yet another driving title, also in development at Bizarre, was alluded to and described as ‘Mario Kart meets Forza.’
Intriguing.
