Atari announced yesterday that they will be bringing the PC action strategy game, Demigod, to European, Asian and South African territories in box form next year, while Stardock will distribute the title on their online digital distribution service, Impulse. CEO of Atari parent company Infogrames, David Gardner said:
“Chris Taylor’s team at Gas Powered Games are creating something very original and exciting in Demigod which expands the possibilities of PC strategy gaming. This agreement with Stardock brings a great addition to our 2009 line up as we head into the next phase of growing our distribution business.” CEO and Founder of Gas Powered Games, Chris Taylor added:
“We are very excited that Atari has chosen to distribute Demigod and be our key partner in Europe. Atari has an outstanding team and renewed energy, and we know we are in great hands.”
Demigod, in development at Gas Powered Games, allows players to choose from a selection of demigods, mythical giants and creatures who will lead their armies into battle, each creature able to use their unique skills, power and capabilities to defeat the opposing army as they rank up in experience and improve their skills.
