The cult action RPG that released on PC last year, The Witcher, is heading over to the consoles, complete with a new combat system and a new and improved engine, essentially being recreated for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
The console version will be called The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf, and places players in the monster slaying boots of Geralt, a trained witcher who only serves to destroy the fiends that plague the lands, in this fantasy-based world. The problems players will encounter are analogous to the problems being faced today in modern times, while the game itself is based on the universe created by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski.
The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf is heading to Xbox 360 and PS3 ‘Autumn’ next year, from Atari and CD Projekt. More screenshots and a debut trailer follow below:
