Wii Sports Resort will be arriving on South African shelves in May 2009.
Like its popular predecessor Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort is a collection of fun sports games and promises to fall squarely within the pick-up-and-play category. Wii Sports Resort will be the first game to make use of the Wii MotionPlus accessory.
The Wii MotionPlus plugs into the end of the Wii Remote and helps to create a more responsive and realistic experience. Moving and tilting your hand while holding the new WiiMote combination, for example, would result in an in-game hand moving and tilting in the same way.
Set on a tropical island, Wii Sports Resort will see gamers indulging in various outdoor activities including Sword Dueling, Jet Skiing and tossing a disc to a Nintendogs-like dog in Disc Dog.
When the game was unveiled at E3, Nintendo of America announced that Wii Sports Resort would come packaged with a Wii MotionPlus accessory. However, at this stage Core Gaming cannot confirm whether the game will come bundled with the new accessory here. Pricing has also not yet been announced.
