Sony issues update on new peripherals

Sony unveiled the Wireless Keypad for the PS3 earlier this year in August. SCEA’s PlayStation blog has revealed some new interesting information about the two new peripherals including the Wireless Keypad and the AC Adaptor.

The Wireless Keypad for the PS3 will be available in stores across North America for $49.99 in the first week of December. The Wireless Keypad is a Bluetooth device that players can pair with their PS3 or with any other Bluetooth enabled device that has keyboard functionality.

It can be charged using a USB cable and enables quick chatting, handy short cut buttons as well as easy internet browsing on the PS3 browser thanks to the nifty touch pad mode. Here’s a handy video to see it in action.

Players can also keep an eye out for the new AC Adaptor used to charge the DUALSHOCK 3 and SIXAXIS wireless controllers as well as the Bluetooth Headset and Wireless Keypad. It will start arriving on US shelves in the second week of December and will cost $24.99.

Good news for PSP fans is that it charges both the PSP-2000 and the new PSP-3000. Sony has also confirmed that you can still use the headset as a mic when using the AC Adaptor as it is Bluetooth enabled.

Any interested in getting their hands on one of these puppies?
