Somehow the E for All Event, a public game exhibition, flew under the radar of most publications this past weekend, operating very much on the down-low. Despite such a low-key function, the expo was able to attract 15 000 attendees over the weekend, which Chief Executive Officer of IDG World Expo, Mary Dolaher, calls “a true success.” Dolaher said:
“E for All 2008 was all about connecting great game companies with gamers and gamers with great games, and we’re happy to report that the event was a true success in this regard. In addition to welcoming back great exhibitors, celebrity gamers and partners from last year, we added a number of new programs and special features for 2008 which truly added to the excitement and energy of the show. We want to thank everyone who participated in E for All 2008 and helped make it such a success.”
The second event of its kind in as many years, held in Los Angeles, E for All is heralded as the public E3. It also just happened to coincide with South Africa’s very own game and technology event over the weekend, rAge.
