In a post on the US PlayStation Blog, Game Director for MotorStorm: Pacific Rift Nigel Kershaw, posts about how, now that Pacific Rift is set for release today in the US, the team is off for a well-earned holiday, only there’s going to be work waiting for them when they get back.
What he’s referring to is the downloadable content that developers Evolution will be finishing up for those that happen to buy MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, either now in the US or on November 7th in the UK. What downloadable content? Kershaw expands:
“Once were all rested its back to the development bunker to finish off the DLC we have lined up for you guys in the coming months. We’ve got a pile of stuff waiting in the wings, and, you’ll be glad to know, a lot of it is free. We’re going to try and give you something new to play with every week, and we’ve also got some major packs in development that should be on the store after Christmas.”
Kershaw also leaves off with some development statistics, revealing the team’s level of consumption for certain consumables:
- Number of pizzas consumed during development: 1,454
- Number of Chinese takeaways consumed during development: 4,231
- Number of curries consumed during development: 678
- Miles of toilet roll used during development: 37
Whether or not these stats are true is unclear. A full investigation to follow…
