Convention organiser IDG World Expo has confirmed that the E for All consumer show is to be cancelled and will not recur in 2009.
After only two events at the Los Angeles Convention Centre, the E for All event will be scrapped, following the decision by IDG World Expo to focus on a reinvigorated, further reaching and, basically, bigger E3 next year in June. A comment from IDG:
“We want to thank all of our E for All partners for their support, and we encourage E for All exhibitors to participate in the E3 new event, which we believe will meet their needs as well as those of the industry at large.”
The E for All consumer show was thought of as a supplement to E3, which took place months before in the calendar year, providing an opportunity for the public to get hands-on time with new games as well as be exposed to new, up-and-coming games and technologies. R.I.P.
