It’s a new entry this week that takes the Japanese Software Sales crown - Wii Music, Nintendo’s latest game. Wii Music debuted with 92 000 copies sold! In the No. 2 spot, Pokémon Platinum held its own by selling 72 000 units this week, with a total of 1 754 000 units sold since its release.

Placed at No. 3 is another new entry, a PSP game by the name of Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida Or 2, with 59 000 sold. Weekly top contender Rhythm Tengoku Gold is still charting extremely strongly at No. 4, from No 3 last week, with 51 000 copies sold for a total of 1 010 000 units. Another Japanese Software Chart debut is Culdcept DS, squeezing into the No. 5 spot by managing to sell 50 000 units for the week. The last new entry to the Top Ten this week is Kidou Senshi Gundam 00: Gundam Meisters for PS2, with 43 000 units sold, slotting in at No. 6.

With all of these new entries, what happened to the rest of the pack?

Shin Sangoku Musou 5 Special charts at No. 7 this week from No. 4, with 27 000 copies, Macross Ace Frontier is down to No. 8 this week after a strong debut entry at No. 1 last week, with 26 000 copies sold, Wii Fit sees a bit of a fall from No. 6 last week down to No. 9 with 18 000 sold and Super Robot Wars Z stumbles a bit, selling 13 000 copies and moving from No. 5 last week to No. 10.

As a result of the new entries, there was a lot of pushing and shoving to get into the Top Ten, so it seems Mario Kart Wii fell from No. 7 last week down to No. 12, while Dragonball DS dropped down to No 13 from No. 9 last week. Powerful Major League 3, charting at No. 8 last week, moves down to No. 18 this week and Daigasso! Band Brothers DX, at No. 10 last week manages a No. 15 showing this week.
