PixelJunk Monsters is at the top of this week’s PlayStation Network Store update.
PixelJunk Monsters is available for $7.99 or £3.49 (59.3 MB) but only for a limited time. If you liked tower defense you will love this game which sees players building towers to defend their homebase from the onslaught of monsters, all the while unleashing lightning storms across the forest. There is also a free theme if you become a PixelJunk fan.

Guitar Hero fans can also get their hands on GHIII Classic Rock Track Pack for $6.25 (50.4MB). This includes “Peace of Mind” as performed by Boston, “Jukebox Hero” as performed by Foreigner and “Any Way You Want It” as performed by Journey. If Rock Band is more your style look out for Oasis’ “Wonderwall,” “Live Forever” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger.” The songs are $1.99 each while the Pack is $5.49.
There is also a free Folklore Create-a-Creature Winner Add-on (27.2 MB) where you can download Quasarilli (winning design of the Folklore Create-a-Creature contest), a wind and earth folk who summons tornadoes and earthquakes to beat opposition. Elsewhere there is a Strangehold Map Pack for $14.99 with 10 multiplayer maps and 21 new multiplayer character skins.
In terms of demos you can check out the demos for Devil May Cry 4 and The Club. This week’s PS one classic is the racing game Jet Moto 2, which is available for $5.99 to North American games while European gamers can look out for Judge Dredd for £3.49.
