Xbox 360 fans are in for a treat this week as Bomberman Live and Yie Ar Kung Fu explode onto Xbox Live Arcade. The two games will be available at 9:00 GMT this Wednesday the 18th of July. Bomberman will set you back 800 Microsoft Points while Yie Ar Kung Fu will cost you a slightly less tart 400 Microsoft Points.
Bombs away!
Hudson Entertainment’s Bomberman Live was created specifically for Xbox Live Arcade. Complete with HD graphics, four person local multiplayer and eight person online multiplayer over Xbox Live, this Bomberman is guaranteed to be like none other! In fact, with over 10 000 unique ways to fully customize your Bomberman (from gladiator to clown), there probably is no Bomberman out there like yours.
Bomberman Live sees players guiding their Bomberman around a grid-like arena, all the while trying to avoid opponents and their bombs, and trying to bomb them of course! The game features eight multiplayer arenas including the quick sand filled Lost World and trap door enclosed Ghost Town. Players can also destroy blocks to reveal 16 different power-ups or power-downs ranging from Speed up to Dangerous Bomb.
Fight!
In the other corner we have Konami’s classic fighting game Yie Ar Kung Fu. Oolong’s desire to be the ultimate champion leads him to face and defeat masters of the throwing shuriken, nunchaku, bo, chain and more at the Martial Arts Championship. This game features enhanced graphics, hand painted models and backgrounds that mimick traditional Japanese art styles as well as new achievements. In addition, players can choose to play the authentic arcade version or the enhanced version. Yie Ar Kung Fu features leaderboards and players can earn up to 12 achievements and 200 gamerscore.
