Bloomberg is reporting that Nintendo continues to outsell Sony in Japan, widening its lead with sales figures of 251 794 game machines sold in May. Tokyo based research firm Enterbrain Inc. has confirmed that Nintendo is outselling Sony’s PS3 five to one whereas the PS3 trailed the Wii by four to one in April. Enterbrain also reported that Microsoft’s sales trailed those of Sony’s in Japan last month, selling just 11 082 Xbox 360s.
Nintendo continues to anticipate a bright future with Japan based Nintendo, Kyoto forecasting that Wii sales will triple this fiscal year. According to Enterbrain, Nintendo’s DS outsold Sony’s PSP five to one in May, selling 620 670 DSs in comparison to 123 673 PSPs.
