Spider-Man 3 has hung on to the number one spot in the UK’s All Formats Chart for a third week in a row. Helped along no doubt by the release of the PS3 version, Spider-Man 3 tops both the PS2 and PS3 charts with the PS3 version accounting for 19% and the PS2 version 49% of Spider-Man 3 sales this past week. It’s winning streak looks set to continue if the Spider-Man 2 sales are anything to go by – when Spider-Man 2 was released 3 years ago it stuck in for a solid 5 weeks at the top of the All Formats Chart.
EA’s Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars sticks it out at number two again while Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer 6 moves up one place to number three. 505 Games’ Cooking Mama, now available on both the Wii and DS, moves up to number five while Wii Play continues to dominate at number four.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 moves up into number six thanks to strong Wii sales while EA’s Fifa 07 moves down two places to number seven. With a release date for Halo 3 having been confirmed as the 26th of September and thanks to a free Halo 3 Beta, Crackdown re-enters the top ten at number eight. Two DS exclusive games round off the All Formats Top 10, Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training at number nine and Final Fantasy III in last place.
