In the Star Fox franchise each game has seen the crew assembling to save the Lylat system from impending doom. This Star Fox is no different and when the Anglar threaten an attack, Fox McCloud must reunite his friends yet again in an attempt to defeat the Anglar.

Battle plan locked and loaded

The decisions you make during your gameplay will determine whether you are victorious in saving Lylat. At the end of each mission a player is given choices as to which path to pursue. As you play, new paths are unlocked and with new challenges and multiple endings, this game is guaranteed to keep you interested! Also new to the DS version of this game is a player’s ability to draw a battle plan. Players can strategically direct their squadrons in battle by using the touch screen to map their squadron’s flight path and partake in the battles as well. Star Fox Command also features Wi-Fi connectivity, enabling up to six players on a local wireless connection or up to four players on Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

Unique DS gameplay

The DS touch screen ensures that this Star Fox is a welcome addition to the Star Fox family. Players use the stylus to pilot the planes, simply drag it in the direction you want to fly and your Arwing will oblige. You can also lock onto targets and drop bombs with your stylus. The game sees you flying old planes and new, featuring new weapons and shield strengths.

Release dates

Although Star Fox Command was released in August in Japan and the States, it is only set to be released in Europe on the 26th of January 2007, almost five months after its release in the US. Keep your eye out for it in the new year, this science fiction action game looks like a winner!
