why cant you just do that without the whole 'home' thing?

2008 and not a game worth buying, but at least home is still planned to come out! Honestly i couldnt care if they ditched this. I agree with deepwater... GIVE ME A GOOD GAME! NOT THIS RUBBISH! I am officially a traitor. Got a Wii AND a 360 last week... got £300 for my 60gig PS3... not bad. I recommend this Wiisports its truthfully really great. Got massive updates on the wii, got loads of channels extra (news weather internet (superfast) a vote thing, a contest thing, and a new version of the photo channel) the photo channel is amazing

as a playstation fan i can safely tell you the wii is great and the 360 is the same as the ps3 but cheaper.
the 360 has great stuff on 'live', more than the PSnetwork (HDmovies for ex)

The Wii can do everything the PS3 can do, just at lower resolution. but still in HD (at 480p instead of 1080p).

I own a PS3 and a Wii. I got both for different reasons but now i regret getting the PS3 as all the PS3 is better at, is graphics.

I find it strange and highly annoying how my 40gig ps3 is full already!... the only full games i have are motorstorm and warhawk. Apart from them I only have free downloads off the psn and 40gig is gone!!
never mind space needed for photo's, video's and game save's. Each file is TOO BIG!

On the other side (the Wii side)

The Wii has a pathetic 512mb flash memory.
BUT....
I have 18 save files from games i own and have swapped.
I have downloaded these games from the virtual console:
mario 2
mario3
mario world
pacman
sonic 2
WSC
gunstar heroes
f zero
f zero X
bomberman

I have:
news channel
weather channel
vote channel
mii channel
mii contest channel
internet channel
photo channel
shop channel

AND I STILL HAVE AROUND 200mb left! (thats enough room for another 6 to 10 games)

MY POINT IS EVEN THOUGH THE PS3 HAS 40gig AND ALL ITS FEATURES, THE Wii WITH ITS 512mb IS FAR MORE USEFULL

I agree, how big will the 'home' download be and how many demo's will i have to delete befor i can play on it?

some game demo downloads for the PS3 are HUGE! 40gig ends up being not very much (not anywhere near enough space)

I think I am going to try and get a wii, no more heroes looks really good, batallion wars has just come out and i could rock at that. Anyone want to buy a PS3? How much can i get for it second hand? I think life would be easier with a wii as its less hassle to take around my mates house, the PS3 is too big, heavy, and the badly shaped case is VERY breakable.

I didnt waste £500 to get a pointless avatar, i paid for good game experience and am not getting that at all.

seriously now i am sick of this crap and am selling up. wii gets more good games than i do and thats just not fair as i payed more for my experience.

Wii and Xbox are goin down Sony his genious great exclusives and other games and to top it all off HOME I was worried but all we'll be well sony won the 5th and 6th gaming generation war and they're about to win the 7th 2008 THE YEAR OF THE PS3

airman have you been stuck in a hole? the only good thing coming to ps3 is gta4, and thats on 360 too. mgs4 looks stale and boring and overdone and home is.. erm... delayed AGAIN!
the only good game we have got already is PAIN and thats a download not a real game.

i am going to hold out a bit longer, my ps3 is collecting dust now. nothing fun since gta4 and thats getting a bit 'old' now (same damn game as san andreas but with better graphics and less to do - for example no ambulance missions, flying cars, planes, or tanks!).
not sure if i care about this home thing anymore, new 'qore' thing is out but thats a rip off.
i think i'll give it a month or so to see whats happening game wise then i may sell up like you lot.

abetterlife you chat rubbish. motor storm and warhawk are both really small installs, probably about 1gig for both, so you've obviously just filled the rest with porn. also home will be a great place to meet people and socialize with other gamers. it sounds like none of you actually own ps3's and just wanna bitch about not having any major releases like home for your platforms. whats the xbox or wii have announced which is as big and as innovative as this.
