Indiana Jones DVD set to include Lego Indiana Jones demo

Paramount Pictures and LucasFilms have announced that they will be releasing a new box set of all three Indiana Jones movies (The Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Temple of Doom and The Last Crusade) on the 13th of May. In addition all three movies will debut individually for the first time on DVD.

The big reveal is that each special edition of the movie will include a trailer and PC demo of Traveller’s Tales Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures. The details of the demo have not yet been announced. Lego Indiana Jones will be released on the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP, NDS, Wii and PC in June.
The movies were previously available only in a trilogy box set. All three movies were originally restored and remastered in 2003. The Special Edition DVDs will include new, exclusive bonus features that reveal never-before-seen footage of the making of the movies and showcase characters, action and visual effects. You can also expect a few hints from Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and others about the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Fourth Indy adventure ahoy
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will hit the circuit on the 22nd of May. This fourth Indy adventure, directed by Steven Spielberg, stars Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett and Ray Winstone.
“An entire generation of movie lovers will get to see these classic films in a digital format that makes them even more amazing than when they were first in theaters,” said Howard Roffman, Vice President of Lucasfilm Ltd. “These new, individual DVDs are a fantastic way to introduce young audiences to the unforgettable, action-packed adventures of the most daring archaeologist in the world.”

Special Edition DVDs detailed
The special edition of each movie features widescreen enhanced for 16:9 TVs and 5.1 surround sound. In addition each movie contains special features including galleries; illustrations and props; production photographs and portraits; effects/ILM and marketing.
The Raiders of the Lost Ark includes an introduction by Steven Spielberg and George Lucas to the movie; an appreciations to Indiana Jones where the cast and crew of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull pay tribute to the original trilogy; The Melting Face (a recreation of the physical effect of the villain’s melting face in the movie, including Spielberg and Lucas commenting on the evolution of visual effects and CGI); and a Storyboard Sequence of the Well of Souls.
The Temple of Doom includes an introduction by Spielberg and Lucas to the movie; Creepy Crawlies where Spielberg, Lucas and Frank Marshall reminisce about snakes, bugs and rats; Locations where you can expect to travel across the world to discover where the films take place and where they were shot; and a Storyboard Sequence of the mine cart chase.
The Last Crusade includes an introduction by Spielberg and Lucas to the movie; The Women: The American Film Institute Tribute where the three Indiana Jones women (Karen Allen, Kate Capshaw and Alison Doody) reunite for a discussion; Friends and Enemies where Spielberg, Lucas and Indiana Jones writers discuss how they created the characters (as well as look at new faces in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull); and a storyboard sequence of the opening sequence.
