Standalone wireless Guitar Hero III guitars out early next year

Activision has announced that standalone wireless guitar controllers for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock will be available across North America in early 2008. A release date for Europe has yet to be announced.

The new wireless guitar controllers will be available for each platform, including Gibson Guitar’s Les Paul model for the Xbox 360, Wii and PS3 and Gibson’s Kramer guitar for the PS2.

Currently gamers can only get their hands on a wireless guitar for any format if they purchase the game bundle.
